I am thinking of impoting a gamecube when they are released in japan but i was wondering if there will be a modchip which will allow me to play uk pal games on the japanese gamecube?

Answewr... YES! There has yet to be any computer codes and system that has not yet been cracked including DVDs, games and the rest.

I must point out, that mod chips may not be your best bet... instead there will most likely be gameshark or action replay like devices that will plug into the back of the console and let u play imports.

Nintendo are usually very strong with their anti piracy stuff. Are they really making an *official* mod chip?

Nintendo *may* be considering making an official mod themselves.

You'll have to wait for the pirates to get their grubby little mits on the cube before we see if it's possible.

I would imagine your best bet is to call up the people at Action Replay and ask them if they have one in development.

i would've thought so but i wouldn't risk pre-ordering one before you know for sure. that's all i know.
