So, my fellow TNA converts, what did you think of last nights showing of Sacrifice on TWC? Here's a few thoughts from myself, in no particular order...

Lance Hoyt vs Abyss
Wow. I was speechless after watching this as to just how good it was. WWE should really take note that certain big men can put on a good match, instead of giving us Snitsky vs Big Show...Obviously it was never going to be an X-Division spot fest, but TNA's big men really drew the crowd in, false finishes galore, solid psychology and the surprising agility level of both men involved made this an under-rated but essential match in my view.

Raven/Sabu vs Jarrett/Rhyno
Tired a bit too hard to be an ECW main event circa 1997 and the end result was Rhyno having to carry everyone, as Jarrett can't (and shouldn't) try to work this style, Raven is past his best and Sabu is physically wrecked.

Christopher Daniels vs Austin Aries
Aries certainly brings a new element to the X-Division and I look forward to his matches with the likes of Sabin, Shelley and Dutt over the coming months.

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe
Double wow. 'Dream matches' rarely live up to the hype, but this blew my mind, a wrestling masterclass that the WWE could only dream of. and it's shocking to think that Daniels will be added to this mix on the next PPV to air of TWC. Anyone who thinks TNA is a poor WWE copyist needs to see this match.

Sean Waltman vs Jerry Lynn
Jerry Lynn can still put on a great match aged 42. Syxx-Pac strugles a few months shy of his 35 birthday. There's a lesson there kids.

Edit: Yeah I know I forgot a load of matches. I'm getting old...
Konnan/Killings vs James/Brown(maybe they should us that as a Tag team name?)
Hands up anyone who didn't see that end coming? good energetic brawl, certainly the best one could expect given 3 out of the combatants.

Most likely a Raven's Rules match, i.e anything goes, No DQ

The reason i asked about DQ's is because on the impact before sacrifice a table was bought into the ring as if to be used in the match. I was thinking if it was used in the match then would there have been a DQ? As it turned out it was used after the match finished.

Also on Sacrifice, was it a No DQ main event?

After seeing Unforgiven i wish all WWE Main Events were No DQ. Hate DQ finishes.

Same as the WWE I believe, although their ref's do sometime let mad stuff go without any explaination.

I believe title's can change hands by DQ in TNA, the certainly made a big thing out of that a while back...

I think Cong and Kawada covered all the main points.

My brief opinion was that the PPV was brilliant as is every TNA event i have seen.

May be a stupid question, but what is TNA's stance on disqualifications?

Carried on the streak of awesome PPV's and with the next one having Styles, Joe and Daniels that alone will make that PPV fudging great

> Lance Hoyt vs Abyss

I was also really surprised with this match, showed Abyss can actually have a good match without Styles or thumb tacks. Hoyt shot up alot in my estimation especially with the use of the Van Terminator, i was half expecting him to fall off the ropes or not be able to reach Abyss.

> Raven/Sabu vs Jarrett/Rhyno

Did like the chant of ECW before the match got started but like you said it tried too hard to be an ECW match and failed although seeing Jarrett get a pizza cutter taken to him was nice to see :-D Few nice spots, lots of stuff broken and smashed. Better than most WWE main events

> Christopher Daniels vs Austin Aries

Good match as always from the man of Curry. Aries had some impressive moves that should fit in very well with the X-Division and should be another star to prove that you don't need to look like a body builder to be able to wrestle.

> Sean Waltman vs Jerry Lynn

Decent match, Lynn carries Waltman through most of it but then he did that at the start of Waltman's career so i don't see why now should be any different. Lynn showing just how stupid the WWE are when it comes to using talent.

> Konnan/Killings vs James/Brown(maybe they should us that as a Tag
> team name?)

Switched over for this one to watch some Football, can't stand Billy Gunn.

Shark Boy/Sabin/Dutt vs Swinger/Skipper/Young

Geez Skipper has fallen from grace and been lost in the shuffle hasn't he. Surprising how he can walk the cage but botch the rope walk, the Undertaker can fricking do it man, it can't be hard :-D Pretty much what i expected, Sharkboy and Dutt with the acrobatic stuff, Sabin with that and some technical stuff and Swinger and Young sucking. Was a good show opener

Team Canada vs Naturals and AMW

I've never been a fan of AMW, don't know why i guess it's just because i hate the cowboy gimmick so much due to it being overused like a 2 cent hooker. Was rooting for Team Canada for this one, if only due to my love for Williams and his finisher which i still haven't figured out how it bloody works. Decent 8 man tag, about as good as this sort of match can be with anything less than 20 minutes. Didn't do anything to improve my opinion of AMW

> AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe

Save the best for last. 25 pounds of awesome in a 5 pound sack. Absolutely freaking great match (course i still won't give it a full 5 star rating :-D) great chain wrestling from Joe, great power display as well from AJ which was a little shocking, i think that actually made the match even better for me. Certainly match of the night, maybe MOTY although next month when Daniels is thrown into the mix it might actually be the first match in history that gets a full 5 stars from me. Shall wait and see.
