I'm definitely a big gamer, it's just I can't afford all the games. I used to play so much as a kid and would always say to myself that I would never grow out of it.
I don't play online games anymore, I wasted too much time on them. Seriously some times I would spend 8 hours every day of the week gaming. If I had used all those hours doing something productive I would be able to play the guitar, speak 3 languages fluently and learn enough PHP to create a basic poll.
Now that I have an iPod touch I'm playing more games, though only when I have free time and not getting in the way of my work. There's plenty of games I'd love to play and twice as many old games I'd love to play again.
I think for me I've gone from 0 hours to about 10 hours gaming a week.
Having said that, at the moment I have Crysis Warhead, Wolfenstein and Fear2: Reborn installed and keep dipping between them, depending on how I feel at the time - but all have been played through at least once:-)
I probably played longer gaming sessions as a kid but it would work out the same total per week as school would get in the way.
