I was on wikipedia, and i noticed 'Edit' links next to certain things, and it gave me the ability to change anything on the page, and it saved it.

I dont understand what it is, and i changed alot just to see what would happen.
And it saved it, and its like messed it up.

What is this? What's going on.

I doubt it - all the pages have one or more persons watching it and if someone (like you!) comes along and shags it all up, they just change it back.

The whole concept is based on co-operation and people who mess it up and take advantage can ruin it for everyone.

Yes it's "Stupid" or "Nieve" depending on preference. :D

It's an encyclopedia made up of users' entries, and everyone is free to change stuff. Although people being nobs defies the whole principles of integrity, trust and co-operation that it's founded on.

There's a collective name for pages like this that allow users to edit the content. But I can't remember what it was.

I'm sure you could find out about it easily enough though.
