I really am. Normally scriptkiddies annoy me when they screw over perfectly good sites for no reason other than causing annoyance, but this time they've done themselves good. Maybe it's a new thing? Either way I hope they keep it up...

Basically I got a scam email from 'Paypal' telling me that someone had paid me money, it looked REALLY genuine apart from the fact it sent me to this link:

Whoa. I had to do a double take on that one. I was kinda leary about pressing "log in" even after getting to the real paypal account that had my info already stored. Maybe there was some kinda cookie attached to the linkage..like some worm. ee.

I've got Mozilla and a slew of anti-viral/hackercrap protection, but no bells and whistles went off for me..*weeps* This sucks.

Good eye, phi1.

Yuh, it's pretty impressive.

I got about a squillion warnings before I could get to the site, I have a 'NetCraft' toolbar for Firefox that warns you against these things.

Click 'Log in' in the top right hand corner though, and it takes you to a real PayPal login site. heh.

To me that actually looked believable and too much like the current frame that Paypal uses.

It would strike me as more likely that someone gathered the code from a Paypal form (in their hax0r way) and used that to construct a fake one rather than building one from scratch.

It's still a pretty pathetic scheme, why people can't earn money decently is beyond me. Anyway, I'm off to collect my Crack shippment.

Quite scary indeed. If it wasn't for the URL, it'd be completely believable :S
