A highly disturbing show that aired last night on Channel Four. For anyone that didn't see it focused on an American phenomenon far more sinster than 'Drive-Thru's' and child obesity.

The focus of the programme was the tale of psychotic dillusionals (whether or not they can be labelled so easily, the point of the programme, is defunkt when they were all sentenced) who made people believe they were pregnant. At the end of this nine month stint they would have to cover up the guise. The gore lay in how they did this. The women decided to kill pregnant mothers, and when they had done that they would cut out their' wombs and claim the baby as their own.

Although the perpetrators were apprehended the way it wrecked people's lives across the US won't easily be forgotten. There have now been eight cases reported in the timespan between 1981 and the present day.

The various methods of execution were deeply chilling, such as the killer who used car keys to prise the womb away from a mother she had only knocked unconscious, and the woman who posed as someone's friend on the Iternet, only to turn up at her house and strangle her to death.

The women on the programme were mentally unbalanced and although the Psychiatrists featured on the show urged people 'not to judge them' there comes a limit to how forgiving I can be.

I posted this in Life as it is more of a moral debate and educated discussion than it is a simply 'Did you watch' thread.

The magnitude of Kidney stealing is nowhere near that of killing someone and stealing their flesh and blood.

I remember something similar like this when people would be drugged and one of their kidneys stolen for sale on the black market. They're worth about $10000 each so it was a profitable if not sick way to make a living.
