I've only read Quite Ugly One Morning, which was hilarious. This is almost as funny, and perhaps even more brutal, but that's always a good thing. The thing I love about Brookmyre is that he satirises everyone, just some slightly more than others, and will always make you laugh, even as someone decapitates themsevles.
Oh yeah, and the main guy and his mate, Parlabane and Vale, are off to a 'team building exercise' thingy;
'Looks to me like our fellow constituent ingredients in Ultimate Motivational Leisure's great team-building recipie'
'Not a promising start. I haven't met any of them yet and I already want to kill that one for wearing shades on his brow in October, and at the very least disembowel whichever one owns the BMW X5 with the 'Fair Fuel for All' sticker'
