At nearly 25 percent, it seems most readers who took the poll believe the Revolution will incorporate a DS-like touch screen. And while Nintendo has gone on record stating the DS offers a glimpse as to what to expect from the Revolution, it has also said the "revolutionary" aspect of the system will not be a DS-like dual screen controller.

From IGNcube. hahaha those stupid Americans. But what do you expect, it's IGN. Anyway, here's the results in full:

Trackball - 4.2% - 648 votes
Squishy feel - 4.5% - 704 votes
Gyroscope - 12.8% - 1974 votes
Brain wave control - 11.6% - 1802 votes
Touch screen - 24.6% - 3790 votes
Wheel - 0.7% - 111 votes
Glove form - 4.6% - 714 votes
Reconfigurable layout - 12.8% - 985 votes
No buttons - 7.0% - 1083 votes
Nothing - 16.8% - 2595 votes

I swear people are so stupid. "wheel". But seriously, anyway, Nintendo harp on about how their new controller will be so simple to use that no one will be scared of it, so why do people keep suggesting stupidly non-simple ideas like Reconfigurable layout or Trackball? I'm betting it's like the Gametrac.

Here are some official images!!

I hope I got your hopes up and dashed them into the ground, shattering them into a thousand tiny pieces with my title.

Seriously, I mean it's NOT going to be a touch screen, is it? Think how expensive that would be, plus the fact that LCD screens are in short supply anyway, it's just ridiculous, even without Nintendo saying that isn't what it was.

Touch screen control would be rubbish too. Mario 64 DS control with the touch screen was no way as good as the analouge on N64

Especially trying to defeat Bowser in the last of the 3 arena fights, trying to spin him in the right direct as the bomb for the 3rd time was way more harder than using the N64 controller.

Aha, those idiot Yanks.

I CBA to explain quite how useless and rubbish a touch screen and / or anything relating to gyroscopes would be again. But they would be, so there.

They've already said its not gonna be a touch screen. I wouldn't mind wheel shoulder buttons though.

Of course, the mere fact that they'd suck would definitely be enough to stop ninty using touch screens on a consle...

Much love for the second image. Not holding my breath waiting to find out what the end result is going to be however, will be purchasing the new Xbox and having Ninty's offering as my backup console at my girlfriends house unless they really pull something out of the bag
