My band have finally done a few recordings so I thought I'd post a link and get you guys to give some feedback. I'm expecting most of you to say that we suck because you dont like our style and I know that posting this link opens me up to lots of abuse. it was definitely slower than the first one and was a lot more about the politics that created battle royale, but i wouldn't say it sucked... it was just quite boring to a lot of people (including me, apart from the rare occasions i can sit still for long enough to appreciate the story :) )

Indeed, finished reading that a month or so back, was very good. Watched the film right after and appreciated it even more

Shame the sequel sucked so badly.

the book is fantastic as well, highly recommended.

You are wrong, i got the name from a character from the film Battle Royale called Shogo Kawada, probably same place Geffdof did as well.

I still expect royalties though :-D

We do need to polish the tracks a bit. We intend to overdub a few vocal harmonies etc. I'm just glad that everyone thinks the songs sound decent (for this style of music).

the music isn't too bad at all! singer has a very pleasant voice.
some of the guitar work is a little derivative, but this style has a very reliable formula so fair enough for sticking to it, but maybe spend a little more time "polishing" and adding parts that make the songs more YOURS instead of "acoustic song X... as played by kawada"
a little sappy for my tastes, but overall it was competantly written, well played and the mix was pretty sweet for a D.I.Y affair, i look forward to hearing more.

Maybe it's that too. All I know it that we got the name from a film character.

Yeah, the guitars are plugged straight in. The mic for the vocals is made by Sure, but I cant remember the model number. Its a pretty decent one, but thats all I know.

Kawada is definitely a Japanese wrestler.
