Safepeer- the plug-in for Azureus? Nope. I use PeerGuardian instead. Have you got the latest Java/Azureus updates?

If i switch on azureus the whole connection in the house dies and takes about 2 mins to come back up to speed when i turn it off.

I have just moved house and i used to be with NTL with no problems, the only change is the provider so i am guessing it's BT.

Chipseh do you use safepeer? i wonder if it's blocking something it shouldn't.

I'm still using it... though I'm on BT Yahoo...

Weird. Maybe it's time I tried my back-up client, BitComet :D

Ah.

I dislike Java, heavily.

I might try BitLord or go back to BitTornado then.

Azureus is written in Java. For the uninformed, Java is slow and, quite frankly, gay.

Hence why I tend to stay away from it.

The more 'lighter' apps such as BitTornado or ABC are much better alternatives in my opinion.

Bit Tornado is the faster of the two when it comes to loading and has the better bandwidth control
It uses a hell of a lot of less memory as well

I've just always preferred BT
