I like the NOM CDs but I'll never get one myself. I hate the magazine and usually the free gift is, well, utter shat. Luckily I've a friend who lets me copy them when he buys it.
Aye, I still stand by my comment that they're a lot better than recieving a DVD of a few games that I'm either going to have already read about or seen in action on the internet anyway.
Sure, not everyone has internet access, but I bet they'd rather have an exclusive free gift of similar kind to that the Japanese get than a cheap disc containing IGN movies without the watermark.
I don't think I've bothered with the NGC DVDs since watching through them once. Most the clips I did watch were for games I knew I was likely to get anyway, and even then I watched very little as I didn't want to spoil the games. Watching clips of games helps me know what to expect. Personally, I would rather be suprised by the game than know what to expect.
