And Kanouté has left Spurs for Sevilla? Oh happy day. What a wastrel. Mido/Keane over him any day.
And King is injured, another fantasy team headache. And Heinze didn't start - whathowwhen? And Filan too is injured. Someone tell me it'll all be okay, please. But transfer news first.
And I think Luque will come, he's been left out of Deportivos team at the weekend and he's agreed personal terms.
At long last, he's been thrown a lifeline!! :D
And once again, Newcastle (will probably) miss out on the chance to bag another bargain-priced player who can get you goals! What is Souness gonna do now then? Does he really think they have any chance of landing Luque? Is he really worth it? Is a ten-goals-a-season man really gonna do the job??
Back onto Cole, briefly, I'm still surprised Aston Villa have done nothing, with the chance than Lyon may now nick Baros, having met the higher bid and all, apparently.
Here are some of the players Newcastle have already missed:
Andrew Johnson - signed new contract with Palace.
Clinton Morrison - wants to leave Birmingham, looks set for Norwich?
Dean Ashton - one of the best in League football for several years now, fully deserves his chance in the top-flight. Impressed briefly last season. I am very, VERY surprised no-one's been after him yet!
Fredi Kanouté - off to Spain. :P
Carlton Cole - Portsmouth-bound.
Rob Earnshaw - unhappy at West Brom following Ellington's arrival.
I really don't see Souness' problem. Freddy Shepherd clearly has money to spend - look how much they were willing to waste of 'El Whinio' Anelka. And now, it's Luque. You could get TWO of these players for that money - perhaps even three, if you're lucky.
After warming the Stamford Bridge bench for well over a year, I never would've though things could get much worse for Scott Parker, after Chelsea. :(

Chabi Alonso, my friend. Already worth a lot more than we paid for him.
Oh, don't tell me... The Sun/Daily Star/one of those "papers". :P
The guy's only recently recovered from a horrific injury, he's getting back to his best again and is building up quite well after a promising pre-season. He's probably the club's second biggest asset, for crying out loud!
Baros is as good as gone - that's what Benitez has told us from his options ON the pitch. But you'll see Steven Gerrard in a Tranmere shirt this season before any possibility of Cissé leaving actually arises!
"Ole, yes, today we play 4-5-1, with Sissoko as the lone Momo Sissoko."
"Erm, Rafa..."
"Yes, Milan?"
"That's wrong."
"I'm selling you."
You'd think Robbo would spend some money on a godawful defence.
