When I have my PC on for about 8ish hours the internet just stops working. I have no idea why but it's just been doing it for the last 4 days.

Is it because it's been on for too long?

Yup, thats exactly what happens, and I have a BT modem.

Yeah probably the same thing happens to me, after so long you can't load webpages and if you do "Page cannot be displayed" appears. Only a restart fixes it. Downloading things in a P2P program still works though. Reason being is crappy AOL modem. Free, though.

Possible overheating of your modem?

That's what used to happen with a little cheap modem that I had once.
