Nope. It's completely stand-alone (a la Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow).

Nope. Standalone game, ordered my copy the other day, looking forward to it!

is it a live only game or is there single player stuff?

I should think there was both, like on GR2.

Pretty sure its both.

just watched the gamespot video review and it was mighty impressive, will defo be picking this up. By that time I hope to be on live, just browsing through the site and it turns out that they should actually accept my debit card so I just have to buy myself one of them starter kits.

Just watched the video review also, and there is only one thing I can say:

I might actually play through this on SP now.

I'd just like to add, UBISoft is a game company that actually loves us.
