I rented FIFA 2005 also. Now to decide which to buy. I guess I should get PES, as I bought FIFA 2004 last year due to the whole Online thingy, which was actually quite pants.
Renting PES should be an insult. BUY IT!

And yeah, La Liga, Serie A and Eridivise are fully licensed, while Premiership, Bundesliga and Le Championnat have full squads with all the correct players - just no licensed kits for them.
Most national teams are licensed as well. But all can be edited or downloaded for corrections anyway.

Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands have full licenses. That's all I gathered from my rental.
