Ah, we have infinite amounts of fun finding funny place names on maps at D of E. One particular favourite i remember is 'Dancing D*cks'. Yes, the long winter evening do just fly by......

One of my mates moved to a town called "Penistone"

On my way to the west a few days ago, I noticed that there were also places called Box, and Studley. Also I saw on the news a while back that there's a village called Nasty

As far as I could tell, there was no other reson for it to exist, other than to have this name.

Purely because he was amused by the name apparently
