Scientists talking about reintroducing lions and elephants and other pre-age of man animals back into North America.

This isn't low-profile crazy scientists either, you've got to have some serious clout to get published in Nature. So this would have every chance of being implemented if funding could be obtained.

Erm,doesn't seem like the best idea, though. Though I suppose it could help with the conservation of natural parks. No need for path restoration when your average hiker is getting mauled. He's just congratulated himself on escaping the bears when a lion takes a chunk out of his face.

It's a good idea, conservation wise. Just made me chuckle when I read it.

I think they should reintroduce Dinosaurs to the US, but give them voiceboxes /larynxes capable of Human speech, and saddles.
