The Playstation 2's UK retail price has dropped from £299 to £269!!
Talking to trade rag MCV, SCEE marketing director Darren Carter said "Because of exchange rates across Europe we altered our trade rate so that the U.K. doesn't fall out of step. We don't see this as a strategic price cut, because the amount is too small."
Meh, Sony people always baffled me but surely, if this cut takes place now, we might see a £200 Gamecube go head-to-head with a £200 PS2 by Christmas!.... How exciting!!!
My money is on Nintendo, the GBA will sell the Gamecube, Sony will fade out! - Yeah!

£200 great my brother might buy one now. He said if its price came down he would think about getting one. Now I might be able to play MGS2 after all.....and Shadowman 2.
This is true, I was in game yesterday, when they were putting the signs up!!
Fact is, the DC at the moment has better games than the PS2... even if you disagree you must admit that a console with games like Code Veronica, Jet set, PSO and sonic should survive.... how stupid most games buyers are.
