Rooney and Ronaldo, definitely. But Giggs and Scholes are happy with their lot and old and ready to start smoking pipes and wearing flat caps and owning greyhounds and whatever else old Northerners do.

No-one else has the potential to be a high wage earner at Man Utd. Apart from John O'Shea, of course. Titan of men.

£1.5 Mil could be the difference between signing and not signing a major player. And it all adds up.

Now that he is on this wage, I'm pretty sure that half of United will be after much higher wages in future years.

It's to even out the beautiful Portugese wizard that is Cristiano. If all the players looked as good as him there'd be pitch invasion after pitch invasion of young women as well as the game having to be stopped due to the amount of panties being thrown onto the pitch
