Hmmm... lets see,
Change a few of the characters names and try changing the name of the game to GOLDENEYE, because thats about all Rare did when they came up with PERFECT DARK....
Personally, i think the ultimate console game would be the one that was actually original and didn`t rip-off half a dozen other types of games at the same time!!!!
(WOLFSTEIN + DOOM + QUAKE + GOLDENEYE = PERFECT DARK)
But console writers are too concerned with making a quick buck than to try and be innovative...

I think it would be a huge version of Mario Party.
Rather than playing 'mini-games' you would play limited versions of SNES or N64 games.
For example 9 holes of Mario Golf, a battle on Smash Brothers, 5 minutes of ISS, a random course from F-Zero, doubles on Mario Tennis, multiplayer on Goldeneye, a quick blast on Mario Kart or Diddy Kong, a level of Super Mario against the clock, a fight on SFII. The length of each game would be defined by the players.
Maybe something for GameCube.
