Hi, I'm hunting down a PC game but have forgotten its name. it's an RPG, in a first person perspective, and is set underground in dungeons. It's quite an old game, maybe 2-3 years, and has 3D monsters (I'm not talking about them very old dungeon games from pre-95, or even Morrowind. But it's like Morrowind without outside areas). Someone must be able to think of its name because how many dungeon RPGs with polygon monsters, set in first person, on the PC are there? Must be only 2 in total. Morrowind and this one.

Oh and Gamespot may have given it a 9.0 score, but not 100% sure.

A spiritual sucessor to the Ultima Underword series. It's a decent game, but has some annoying bugs.

Ah yes, Arx Fatalis.

I've had it in my collection for quite a while (year or so) now but haven't got round to playing it, I'm ill at the moment so I'm playing through Metal Dungeon.

After 45 minutes of eye strain at the Gamespot site (millions of PC reviews), I've found it! It's called 'Arx Fatalis' and was released both for the PC and the Xbox. Watch one movie and just see the quality for yourself. It only scored 8.4 but it looks damn ace. I'm gonna buy a second-hand copy if I can't find it new.

It looks and sounds beautiful for an old-ish game. Was released in 2002.

And I made a mistake. There are quite a few '3D' first perspective RPGs on the PC. 'Wizardy 8' was one, and I saw about 2 others I think.

That one?

copy and paste, but take away the space between html and /pc. it wouldn't let me post the whole link as a click here

EDIT:
forget that, that was released this year in May

Yes, and has real-time combat like morrowind. Saw a movie once on gamespot and you were wacking a goblin in a dark dungeon. It scored high I think. 9.0.
