Afghanistan (Reuters) - Microsoft Chairman and Chief Software Architect, Bill Gates, has faced criticism from all quarters today, after it emerged that he recently travelled to Afghanistan to meet America's most wanted man, Osama Bin Laden.
A Microsoft Press Officer strenuously denied reports of the visit, claiming that Gates had not been outside of the US for some time. However, several witnesses claim to have seen the pair chatting in the lobby of the Mustafa Hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan.
One individual, who claims to be a waiter at the hotel and wishes to remain anonymous, claimed to have overheard part of the conversation. He said, "It was very strange because Mr Gates was quite heavily disguised, but you could tell that it was him." When pressed for details, our source stated that Osama had apparently been keen to order a number of Microsoft's new Xbox 360 consoles, in order to pass the time while hidden away in his cave network - a claim instantly dismissed as "farcical and utterly ridiculous" by the MS Press Officer.
However, this reporter has since received photographic evidence of the meeting. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b372/WookieeMonster/BillGatesOsama.jpg
So far, no-one at Microsoft has been available for comment.
