I've been playing about on e-bay and decided to sell an old DVD.

How much postage should I put for sending a DVD to the UK?

Its always best to put cheap postage on your items because it attracts people, high postage rates puts people (me!)off.
The book here says....

60g= 1st class, 30p

100g=1st class, 46p

150g=1st class, 64p

200g=1st class, 79p

If you want to know some prices of recorded mail, just ask and I'll let you know!( could'nt be bothered to write it all down now if you dont really want to know!) :)

I'm always selling DVD's on E-bay and I charge £1.00 for P&P (assuming its a normal, single disc DVD). That's £0.60 for the actual postage (1st class) and £0.40 for the packaging.

Ho ho ho!

Bubblez - I've sold plenty of DVDs on eBay, and they cost an average of about 79p for 1st Class postage - but that's purely the postage cost, and doesn't include anything for packaging etc. as I bought a bulk load of jiffy bags from Viking Direct.

If you're buying packaging to order, see what the price of a padded envelope is in your local shops and add that to the 79p - then you have your postage. If you like, you can also add a modest charge for handling, as that is allowed under eBay regulations.

Also, if you plan to accept PayPal, you may want to consider adding 66p and sending it by Recorded Signed For to cover yourself under the PayPal Seller Protection scheme.

Whatever it comes to, I certainly wouldn't charge more than £1.50 to £2.00 for postage, otherwise a lot of people will look elsewhere.

Check it out at the Post Office, to see how much it would cost, because bumping up the price is WRONG (looks at Wookiee)

then, after you've looked, bump up the P & P to make money :P

Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
