This game still looks really good to me.

For some reason I never tried the multiplayer beta a couple of weeks back, but I'm more interested in the single player anyway - haven't played a good FPS since HL2.

me no played yet, i was at the pub :(

EDIT: SMV your linky works fine

My god did that ladder bit make me jump :(

FYI People: When you install this demo, it will secretly install SecuROM on your system.

Look here for it: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data

and you will find a folder called SecuROM timestamped with the same data and time you installed the demo. While this may be completely harmless, since it's not the dreaded StarForce, it's still crap that a demo should be installing anything the user isn't informed of.

I haven't tried deleting this folder yet, since I'm not finished with the demo, but I'm sure once it's gone, the demo won't run anymore.

Why would they protect a damn free demo? Just a heads up.

WOW.

I can honestly say this is one of the first FPS games I've seen in ages which has really impressed me.

I want, I want. With the 2MB broadband now, that's no problem, but this computer's graphics card was effectively stolen from an original pong computer.

And NTL decide to start resetting networks as per usual during peak times at weekends.
Assheads

Started to download after 60min wait.
Reckons a 45min download time. I'll smash this island to pieces if NTL shut down again

For those of you still waiting in line on FilePlanet:

Gamershell.com > Demos and Full > Fear SinglePlayer Demo > Zen.co.uk Server...

Should work...

Yeah, same here.

Gamershell.com normally have files up pretty quick, even the 'exclusives', but it's not there yet.

45 minutes to go.

Let's see if this Radeon 9600 has anything left in the tank.
