Yeah, with mine I used teh 2 month trial thjing, then, with about a week left, I put the 12 month code in to see if it would work and they gave me the 12 months and that 7 days.

I love you, Live

Q: Can I use the 12-month subscription card within an Xbox Live Starter Kit to renew my trial subscription?
A: Yes. You can use the subscription code on the 12-month card that comes in the Starter Kit to extend your trial subscription - by doing so, you will not lose your Gamertag or your Xbox Live stats. If you enter the code in the subscription area of the Xbox Dashboard, your two-month free trial will become a 12-month subscription.

It reads like i'll have to put the code in near the end of my trial to get the full 2 months out of it though. Hmmm.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure you can just add the 12 months onto the 2 months so in effect you get 14 months, plus you can keep the same Gamertag.
