I've got 'RecordNow Plus' Disc burning software on my PC, but my disc drive doesn't support DVD-Rs
So, the question again, do I need to buy a dvd drive or a dvd rewriter for pcs ?
Remembering all the options like Copy are available through the programme, so a rewriter would invalidate the software
Whichever, where is a cheap place to buy from ?

I don't quite understand - you have DVD burning software but no DVD burner? What's the point in that. Obviously if you need to burn DVDs the most important thing is an actual DVD writer.
I'm sure the programme acts as the burner - but I just don't have a drive to actually put the things in

Let me make a simple analogy for you:
At the moment you are like a man with a novel in his head, lots of paper but no pen.
Software is software, it just tells the hardware what to do. You don't have any hardware for the software to control, so you're not going to be burning anything. you don't acutally have the equipment to burn a DVD. 1s and 0s on your harddrive isn't going to burn any DVDs on its own. You've got to buy a DVD writer drive.
