I'm planning on buy a broadband router, and required cards, to connect two PCs and a Laptop to the same modem. I'd like to get the Cards and Router from the same make, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable router for the job? I want to have quite a simple set up (no fancy file sharing etc), just so that 3 computers can acess the net at the same time. Any advice would be much appretiated! Cheers!
yeh, i have four PC's linked up in my house, and i use the U.S. robotics router, (you can buy them in special reserve). You can get 3 computer linked for roughly £80, but you have to buy the US robotics router and dongle packages, which is £60, and a PCMI card which will cost you another £30, well thats what i got, it's really simple to install and works a treat. i'm not sure if special reserve still do them, but it's worth a go. The only downside to routers, is the fact that they slow down the interent considerably, (by splitting the connection), hope that helped
