I'm beginning to wonder at the logic of Lionhead! When Black and White was delayed way back in December, the main reason for this was for testing. Four months later, the game is released, with a couple of big bugs that four months of testing could easily have sorted out!

We are then told that a patch is on the way. We are also told that programming is complete, and the patch is now just being tested. This quickly becomes May, and then 21st May. But, no, the patch can't come out because EA can't give it the "go". I am sure that LH knew about this in advance! Anyway, it can come out on the 22nd, right?

Bad luck, no, wrong again. On the 23rd we are told that they have found another bug, and have to wait a while. Why not give it to us anyway and fix that bug later?

The next release date, the 31st May, comes around. We anxiously check the website. However, once again, no patch. This time the excuse is that EA have decided to give the patch some QA, rather than release it first. Hang on, for the past month we've been being told that the patch is just being tested haven't we?

We now await more information on Monday 4th June, 2001. This will probably just be another false release date.

Were we told, when B&W was delayed in december, that the game wouldn't be playable for mahy people until June? That's six months, SIX MONTHS, later.

That's also very pathetic.

As I've pointed out above, the excuses that LH have given us just don't make any sense. We are being beaten round in circles. From what I can see, EA and LH can't be bothered with their customers, and would prefer it if we didn't bother them.

I would love to be proven wrong. So come on Lionhead, jump in a time machine, and release the patch three days ago. Alternatively, just give it to us tomorrow. At least give us honest news as to why the patch has taken so long, and when we can expect it. However, I expect, come Monday, there will just be a short paragraph, saying the patch has been delayed because Peter Molyneaux's computer has died, and all of EA and LH are giving it grapes. The next day we will be told that aliens have attacked EA's offices.

This is getting ridiculous - just GIVE US THE PATCH!!

Thank You - I would like to thank my Mummy, my Daddy, and my pet Gorilla for their immense help in compiling this short passage. :-)

Forget about re-releasing it : just make a new game. It'll probably take less time than the patch!

Read some of Goatboy's topics on this a while back-he included some great costomer complaint quotes as well.
