Wonder if it'll be just as boring (read: needing a ridiculous amount of time to do anything in it) as Morrowind though...

There's a good length video of this on the new OXM disk..does look pretty slick...cant say I ever played the one on the XBOX, or had any inclination to..but have to admit Oblivion does look good. In fact one of the few videos on that disk that actually looks worthy of being 'next gen'! I hope the next batch of clips that come out this Japan expo thing have raised the bar a bit...otherwise my feeling of being underwhelmed may just continue!

As long as it doesn't have those flying idiots, grey tunnels of ash, more people actually DOING things in the world except for you and there's some sunshine, it'll be great.

It'll still be slow and hard to love I bet.

The most enemies I fought in Morrowind was about 8 in the centeral mountain thingy. Though that was because I ran because I could be bothered to fight 6 of them and they caught up.

*drools at the forest screenshot*

Half the gameworld is woodland!!! Can't wait. My only wish is that it doesn't jerk-load as much as Morrowind.

Morrowind was a quality game.

My character had 100 Athletics, 100 Agility and some crazy boots, so running from town to town was a doddle.

The new game looks amazing though.

Think I fought 4-5 of those flying things (stormriders? I forget) but I just pulled out my firestorm ring which is the Morrowind equivalent of the bombs in Serious Sam. :D

The movements in general where terrible on the PC, i assume it have been changed and improved a bit for the xbox, i am assuming that is the version you have played.

There wern't really any times where i had creatures behind me while playing, the most i ever had to fight was about 2 creatures.

Hmmmm, I found it worked well when fighting more than one opponent, in fact it just worked well when fighting.

As their expanding combat I'm betting that fighting in 3rd person is going to be needed to help see exactly what's going on, to time moves properly and to hit foes who are behind you (I hope the have a move where you can thrust your sword backward without looking and get an enemy (like at the end of Evil Dead 3) because that sort of move rules.
