MY PC has a DVD drive but no software to run DVD on. I've tried playing the DVDs on Windows Media and it coems up with soemthing 'Cant play CD'.

I was just wondering what I need to get for me to play DVDs on the PC. Do I have to buy a package like PowerDVD or something?

I use InterVideo's WinDVD

I've always found WMP to be picky and crap at downloading codecs and stuff.

I got hold of a program called 'DVDXplayer pro', which apparently makes your DVD Drive into a multiregion player, meaning you don't have to waste the 4 region changes.

Google for the program. I don't know if it's free or not. If not, I'm sure it's acquirable.

That thing you linked me too had way too many ads, it must've installed about 10 things onto my PC that are really annoying. And I cant delete them unless I delete the DVD PLayer aswell.

WMP10? I think I have WMP9 at the moment, i'll try updating.

WMP10 should play fine from install. Never had a problem myself.

Any media player works, but you need the codecs.
