I installed Gangsters: Organized Crime and it won't work. Start it up with the CD in and it says "unable to initialise CD Player, make sure no other application is using it."
Eh? Tried a reinstall, didn't work. Doesn't work without the CD either. If it isn't the game the only thing I can think of is my PC crashed last week, had to reinstall XP, would it be some driver problem?

It's actually not too bad, just a lot of micromanagement needing a lot of time to play it.

Have you used all patches and such? if it still doesn't work i'd try a crack.

CD is scratch-free, I have tried the compatibility but it didn't work either.

Any other ideas?

Try right clicking on the Exe of the game and setting the compatability mode to windows 2000.

Is the CD damaged or scratched?
