Yeah its something to consider and probably cheaper (ice rinks can be expensive to buy)

My brother plays in-line hockey & has played ice hockey. He said that they are both pretty similar but in-line is probably better to start off with. He wants to play ice hockey in a few years. You might wanna concider that in-line instead.
