EDIT:
Right just had a game with a few CPU players so i got a chance to build a few things.
This does seem pretty good, but incredibly complicated at first, you have a central building, from this you then click a square around it and it give you a menu of what you want to build there (about 14 building choices), one you build you can produce 1 troop type from that building.
So really you need a few differnet types to get healers/ranged and tanks. All types upgrade by 5 levels, which does the units damage/health/mana and new special moves.
Resource wise this game is a bit odd, you have minerals that you can collect with any troop type, this is dragonshard. Then theres gold, this can be aquired from chests and from creeps that your troops kill. There is then XP as well, you get it from killing NPC's and other players characters. XP is used for upgrading troop types.
Now for the strangest part of the game, there isn't one minimap but 2, one is for the main base and terrain and the other is the dungeon map, there are towers around the terrain map that troops can walk in to which moves them to the dungeon map, this is more like a regular RPG when you are on the dungeon map.
Characters can then attack all the creatures in the dungeon and collecting gold from chests. There are boss type creatures to kill for alot more XP and more troops can be sent form teh main base at any time as re-enforcements. Groups of characters have a 'REST' button, when they are away from creatures this can be clicked and they all stop moving and health and mana charges back up to full. (This button is only present while in teh dungeon)
I'm still not to sure what i think of this game, i like that fact that it can be played as a regular RTS but to get resources faster a group of troops needs to be sent to the dungeon at the same time.
