No official proof, just got them from a preorder list off of Videogamesplus.ca.
Metroid and Castlevania are probably the only ones worth it IMO.

Well, if you used the Game Boy player on the Cube it would be on the GC.

Metroid Fusion was original. You're thinking of Zero Mission.
As for that list I am a little doubtful as that looks like the NES Classics 3 that has recently been released in Japan.
A real nuisance when trying to shoot something that's low on the ground.
I can't remember whether you can shoot upwards, but diagonal is a definate no no.
Anysway, it wasn't until the Gameboy sequel that Samus and Metroid got its proper trademark look.
Perhaps I should give it another chance...

You can't shoot? Isn't that what Metroid is?!?! A shooter?!?!
I'm sure there were classics such as Balloon Fight, Dig Dug, Wrecking Crew and Goeman also included.
