From the common sense point of view, it's got to be Henry.

But 25/1 for Cisse interests me....

Shearer doesn't stand a chance. He's getting on a bit now, he's still got the dsire I think but his speed is letting him down. And look at the rest of the Newcastle squad, where are the passes meant to come from?

Even accounting for his age, at 25/1, Shearer is worth a look in. Unless perhaps you take into account the Sounness effect, whereby quality players slowly turn to crap without explanation, argue with the manager, and get shipped off on loan or offlaoded in a cut price transfer in the January sales.

Morientes, F 22/1
Cisse, D 25/1

Both very good bets. Nando will play more this season & Cisse hopefully wont snap his leg in half. (can you tell I'm a Liverpool fan?)

Maybe Jimmy's got a chance, but he's not getting any younger, is he? I reckon Yak'll score more than him.

I wonder how many Bellendmy will get a Blackburn?

Errr, Jimmy? Now Viduka's not dead and they've signed Yakabu, he actually has some support and what be left all by his lonesome up front. OK, Zenden's gone which isn't great but he should still have good crosses coming in from Downing. Yup, this is Jimmy's year to get back over 20 goals. You'll see.

Cisse is class. I backed him to do well last season though, and look what happened... not exactly his own fault, but if he stays fit I'd expect him to be Liverpool's top scorer by a distance. Though if Morientes wakes up he'll put the ball at his feet, right in front of goal an awful ot, so he's got a chance.

Henry I worry about. So consistent, with 30+ goals for the last 3 or 4 seasons, I just kinda fear he's due a season like Ruud's just had, interrupted by injury. Though he missed the end of last season, so maybe he'll be okay.

Ruud has to do better than last season, and I reckon Saha will get 15+ this season too.

Can't guess who'll score most at Chelsea though.

Outside of the top teams, it's got to be Defoe, for me. Maybe Newcastle will sign a goal machine, as Shearer's a little old, and I don't think Ameobi or Chopra will get more than a dozen.

Cisse drifts out towards the right wing naturally, it's just the way he plays. Sometimes he looks like he's playing as a wing-forward.

Baros won't score any Premiership goals for Liverpool, by the looks of it. Left out of TNS game, he shall not be cup-tied.

Valencia/Lyon have already tied up new strikers though, who actually wants him? Barcelona did last summer, but I don't think he's going there. No chance, in fact.

I'd back Cisse... saw him in the friendly the other night, he really has what it takes in the premiership.

I might have to convince my mum to o down the bookies and put a few quid on the old Cresp banging in about 80 this season.
