I reformatted my PC a couple of weeks ago, and since then, I have noticed that WMP10 has been using an excessive amount of my CPU.

My PC has an AMD64 3200+ and it's using anywhere between 45% and 65% of the CPU to run Windows Media Player. It's not doing anything terribly fancy, I just don't know why it's killing my PC.

Constant. I think it may be due to the visualisations, as I just turned them off and the usage dropped to around 10%, but I never used to have that problem when using visualisations.

Is it a constant usage, or just bursts at the beginning?
