I have about 200, perhaps more, to spend

1.4GHz AMD Athlon
Radeon 9600 XT
and err 768MB RAM, and it's pretty slow... I think. i don't know to be honest lawlz

mermoidboat suggests the geforce 6800, but it probably wouldn't run at full capacity, what with my PC being crap and everything

So I ask you!
any suggestions

Well, the higher the better.
Semprons are the budget chips and Athlon 64s are the full blown ones.

Just been having a look at some comparisons and the celeron is crap so ignore that.

I reckon you should wait till you have closer to £300 and then do a full upgrade, or for now just get the top Grafix card you can.

See if he had a better cpu and stuff already the whole £200 could have gone on a 6800GT 256meg.

I personally haven't got a clue about AMD stuff so i skip it. For the money this isn't a bad system.

erm if it's disabled in the BIOS it won't have any effect on anything at all.

Celeron Also, usually (in my experience) o/b graphics still seem to leech ever so slightly even when a graphics card with it's on ram is installed. Saying that the o/b sound codec isn't too bad (compatible and reliable)
