Liverpool v TNS, now, ITV2.


ooooooooh yeah!

Bit of a flattering scoreline tonight but what about Stevie's first goal?! Awesome. As has been said he provides them with an extra gear, always the one to pick the rest of the team up by the scruff of the neck and give them the kick up the arf they need. There's no player in football that's bigger than the team, but Stevie comes damn close.

It's ironic that, after all that's been said in the last month, Steven Gerrard is to single-handedly guide Liverpool through to the Champions' League.

He's been an incredible pick-'em-up leader for the last two seasons in most of Liverpool's succesful games, apart from the final itself, which I thought was an excellent demonstration of how a team of tireless soldiers can do so long as they still believe.

I'd like to see TNS nick a goal, just to give them that little bit of respect they deserve for putting together some half-decent passing movements in the second half. I missed the hat-trick, but though that volley from Alonso's corner really was taking the biscuit! ;)

I reckon TNS will do a Liverpool and come back to win this game in the next leg :D

Baros is surely on his way to Pomp now. On loan of course, we've got enough donkeys permanantly.

On a worrying note, Baros didn't come off the bench. This reminds me of when Mikey didn't move versus Graz.

I can't take losing another of my favourites, Mikey style.

Liverpool were just strolling around for the majority of the game. A bit more urgency and Liverpool would probably have won it by a heck of a lot more.

Still, 3-0 is a good result for the Euro Champs.
