"Usb bluetooth dongle question"

Ok here goes..just heard about usb bluetooth dongles and I was wondering about a few things...1)Do dongles transfer info as quick or quicker than a cable?? 2)if I were to have a dongle in my laptop pc (with no internet connection) and a dongle in my desktop pc(which has a broadband internet connection) would I be able to access the internet from the laptop using dongle to dongle technology..? 3) Similarly, would a bluetooth ready mobile telephone (Samsung D500) be able to access and use the existing internet connection on my desktop pc? 4)Finally, for the benefit of my nephews (I might add)is it possible to play internet link-up games between the laptop and desktop using dongles?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Bluetooth transfers at a speed about 12k per second.

It's useless for anything other than transferring files slowly as far as I can tell.

I haven't used it for sharing an internet connection, I suppose it could be done, but why you would want something when you find out how slow it is beyond me :).
