watched saw and wrong turn the other night, and for somebody who usually gets scared of any horror film, i didn't think they were particularly scary, does anyone else agree or was i just missing the scary parts?

I liked both, but prefered Saw as a raw thriller. Where as wrong turn just had some clool bits of mindless gore. Decapitations with flying axes, very funny :).

I liked Saw, despite it's pretty low budget. The concept was refreshingly ungeneric. But it is more thriller than horror, idiot critics call it horror because of the gore-factor, when it actually isn't. Because they're so drunk on the rum I forcefed them so I can sleep with them they forget how to categorise films. Luckily enough I do it for them if I sober up in time.

As for Wrong Turn, it's not meant to be scary. It's a bit of a black comedy. Nice and gory too, though. It's meant to echo several old "group of teens in the woods getting cut up" films such as 'the hills have eyes' and 'texas chainsaw massacre' - just take it with a pinch of salt and don't expect to be bleeding through your eyes in terror and you'll enjoy it.

I really liked Saw...thought it was interesting and as someone else said the twist was good. I am looking forward to Saw 2.

I prefeerred Saw to Wrong Turn. WT was okay (it's hard to get it wrong with Hillbillies), but a bit cliched. Saw was different, and kept me interested throughout, even though Cary Elwiss is just awful in it.

Wrong Turn's just gore with echoes of Texas Chainsaw massacre.

I picked it up for 6 quid and it was ok.

I hated Saw. It was an awful, badly acted turdfest. Nice idea for a film, just shame they pulled it off so freaking badly. The twist at the end? utter garbage

Wrong Turn was kinda fun though. Nothing amazing, but it reminded me of the old 70's exploitation films and it was a nice change to see a horror film that didn't skimp on the violence.

I have to agree, although I thought that was a great twist at the end. I really didnt see it coming! Wrong turn is just pants. Big grey, yellows stained fronts, brown stained back Y fronts!
