Anyone see the first episode? Sunday, Sky One, 10pm - what a weird time. In the first five minutes they'd called each other more rude words than you'd find on a tourette's sexline, there was some hot rutting, and Lovejoy had a big fight. Oh, and a few of the main characters got shot, so they'll slowly die over the next few weeks. They even bought out the big guns by the end of the episode - Lovejoy calling himself a "c**ksucker", and an utterance of the ultimate C-word.

I think they ran out of plot ideas for Calamity Jane when they killed off Bufallo Bill, so she was reduced to swearing at a passing stagecoach, but she might shoot someone for no reason later, and then swear at the corpse. Then balance will be restored. The advert for the next episode had Lovejoy pointing a shotgun at his own barman's head. Can't wait.

Proof, if ever proof was needed, that swearing, guns, and the Wild West are cool on a level Fonzie would crush his boner with his fists trying to achieve.

I never buy a DVD without seeing it (with the ONE exception being Battle Royale, as I couldn't "obtain" it anywhere), as I'd feel it'd be both a waste of cash and I hate having DVDs on my shelf that I never watch.

I never rent stuff...thats probably why my DVD collection is so big!

I always think to myself "I could rent this instead of actually buying it, but then if i like it and i want to buy it then i might as well have bought it in the first place, so i have paid to rent it and then paid to buy it...i might as well just buy it and keep it"

I pretty much like anything so i will probably like it

If you haven't seen it and aren't really sure whether you'd like it, why not rent instead?

What would you lot rate Deadwood out of 10?

I never really took an interest when it was on tele but i was thinking of buying the DVD set.

Worth it?

I really want to watch this, but I missed the entire 1st series. Probably just rent out the series 1 DVD's and then do the same with series 2.

The moment Calamity Jane says something like, "golly gosh geewillickers" instead, I'll die out of sheer shock or something.

Calamity Jane is such a lady <3

Deadwood is excellent. The first series didn't receive enough acclaim I thought.
Probably due to the amount of NAUGHTY WORDS.
