There’s nothing wrong with steam, i like it i think it's a great system for distribution of games, I even wrote part of my dissertation on it and it's future.

All it needs is an xfire like integration to it and every new release to come out via it and I would be a happy bunny.

Arg! Steam. If more games used Steam as a platform I think I'd weep myself to death.

Yup the games only work as long as you are subscribed.

Steam is having the new Sin game released on it sometime as i think they are trying to get many other developers to use steam as a staging platform for products.

I think people will download the games and then something will be released by some pirates to allow the games to be continued playing. It's a good idea for the £1 7 day trail thing, although there arn't many games that required more than 7 days of play to be completed so i guess you just get alot of games for £1 :)

I can't be bothered to read through the site because it's all confusing and stuff.

But i'm guessing it's probably that you have to be subscribed to play the games, so you can't cancel and carry on playing?

Seems the most likely, otherwise they'd be making no money at all.

And the catch is this. After the 7 days or whatever run out, you can't play the games! Cheers.

Same. You could just wait 3 months for the games to mount up then subscribe for a month to download the lot.

Nice, theres about 6 games I want to try and that "7 day trial for just £1" malarky looks good. Theres probably a catch though.
