I've been a huge fan of Incubus for a very long time, and its so interesting to see how many genres they have been through. Anyone listened to Fungus Amongous? Funk rock with killer solos and a wicked rap element to it.
Anyway their new song is just decent alternative rock, and it is superbly executed, thanks to the talent that they are.
I really hope so!
The interlude they performed in the song Vitmain when they are doing the question and answer thing with the drums and bongos? And then Jose's drum solo?? Unbelievable!
Make Yourself is probably my favourite (lyrically the most accomplished in my opinion) however Crow Left Of The Murder have the most interesting riffs, despite it being a little generic in places. Zee Deveel? Urgh. Sick Sad Little World? Yum!
I think it's alright, but I still prefer songs from A Crow Left of the Murder, Morning View and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. Aswell as Pantomime, a great new song, if you do hear it.
If you really like incubus, you should definitley get their Alive at Red Rocks DVD, released last year. Absolutely brilliant! Plus, you get a few bonus tracks on the second disc.
