Last night I was trying to watch a DVD on my PS2 and it just kept saying fatal error, and the screen filled with red and white boxes. The games worked fine but certain DVD's wouldn't work. I think I've come a cropper to the Disc Read error bug, so before it went completely I just decided to sell it to a certain big games retailer. Thankfully the new PS2 is due out on Friday, so I'll just get myself one of those.
If GTA arrives tomorrow I might pick one of these up on the way out of uni :P Ahh..new PSTWO + GTA = Me being addicted :D
He is making the right move getting the new model... But only is he gets a US one ;)

Seriously though, what the hell do you people do with your consoles? I can honestly say I haven't had one problem with any console I have ever owned. Including 3 PS2's, 1 US PS2 and the new US PSTWO. I seriously feel for the console's connection ports and what you actually ram into them...
