They pull up, search around in the back of the van for 10 minutes and then sod off.

Either the guy in the van is blind and couldn't see it or the loading gang put it in the wrong bloody van. Either way they're both fuckwits!

Nope, it was actually the thrd option, which you hadn't considered. Someone at City Link thought it would be a good laugh to mess with you.
