Thinking of picking up one of these when I get Conker today.

Anyone played Close Combat and does anyone still play Brothers in Arms?

Might just go for CT Special Forces because running round with 40-odd rockets is really good fun. :)

Got it going on the third try, it must've been doing something with the HD because it works fine now.

The whole mission setup is MUCH better than RS3, we played it like proper marines shouting out when we were reloading and things like that.

Really really fun, the tricky AI is great and is a real change from the AI found in Ubisoft's games. These guys are ******* nasty! They pop up behind you and make really good use of cover plus the environments are really tricky to deal with a really make you think (unlike RS3).

Haven't tried the team deathmatch mode yet.

Heh CC is the first game to refuse to load on my xbox. :S

Edit: Got it going and it now refuses to accept commands from my controller on the start screen, OMFG!

Hmmmm.

Better give CC a go today then. Might be taking it back tomorrow if it's poor.

I hope its better than MOH Frontline!!
That was always in the dark, so you could just about see anything!!
I dont understand why they make games like that! You want to see where your going, and what your playing!! Halo 2 got a bit of that, one of the levels are really dark, very annoying! :)

Yeh, It's great. Sort of makes you want to fight in WW2 - especially the title screen music.

The only person I know who bought Close Combat, took it back the next day. He said it was garbage and this is a guy who really enjoys Area 51 and Vietcong.

Well the 3 reviews I read said the AI is iffy in places but they all said online it was good and if you were looking for something to knock about online with that it would more than do the job.

Thw online co-op is basically the entire single player game but with a squad of human players.

Think of better RS3 missions but with marines and you get the vibe I got off the reviews.

I'm going on Conker first anyway. :)

Close combat is *meant* to be crap..let us know what it's like (got some awful reviews). However I can highly recommend Brothers In arms, multi-player isn't great but the single player is a blast, something different too which is nice.

Decided to get Close Combat over BIA because the Team deathmatch and massive online co-op swayed me.

Also got Conker (natch) and found VietCong for a non-insane price (certain shops have really been taking the **** with the pricing of that game, it was still 39.99 last week!)
