I think we'll just let this thread sink and get back to having fun shooting each other online...eh?
A very basic rule in human cybernetics.
As an extension of this, it's natural that the subconscious reacts to simulated violence in pretty much the way it does real stuff.
Consequently, on some level, violent games do prepare and desensitise the brain for violent conduct.
Back in the old wars, studies showed that most soldiers didn't have a genuine 'killer instinct', they often couldn't go through with it.
I wonder whether people who'd been rehearsing the killing on a video game would find it easier.
It'd probably be better if we never knew the answer to that, all armies could potentially turn out more blood-thirsty killers.
Of course, they probably do already know.

My mind whilst playing CSS is:
1. Buy weapons
2. Die
3. Abuse admin and clan members

And the end of the Cold War seems a little too well-placed to be attributed to anything else.

:D
Counter-strike is a little tedious for my tastes, Enemy Territory is good for a laugh though.

Who the hell do they get to play as the terrorists though?
Chippxero's mind while playing CSS:
1.Buy weapons
2.Run
3.Find monkey_man
4.Kill Monkey_man
5.type 'HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA'
6.Kill rest of his team
7.Act smug
8.If killed type 'LOL' to hide the tears
9.Repeat
10.If Shiggy enters the game run to where ever he is ignoring everyone else to make sure he dies.
There is no malice in the way i play it's just fun that leads to death i assume thats how gays see it when they get AIDS.

In fact, we haven't had a major war since video games have become popular. From this evidence I conclude that playing video games actually takes us closer to world peace. Case Closed.
