External CSS has made me lazy. And I like it.

But now, when reformatting the design or layout of web pages, I want the same one-change-fixes-all workload.
Without frames.

Is it possible to outsource more of the design and content components of my page to one document, in the same way as I do my basic CSS formatting bits?

Or am I condemned to be pasting from old pages to new templates until the end of time?

P.S. I'll no doubt be pestering for web site opinions soon enough!

Excellent, both look like good solutions.

I'll get into a bit more research and see what I can do with them.
Cheers guys.

I find PHP includes very useful. I have a file which is the header design for my page, and a footer section containing the same. All i have to do is create the content, and use includes to place the header before and footer afterwards. Also works a treat for elaborate menus.

Lol, SSI is a technology which allows certain, very simple server side operations to be carried out, such as including files, printing the date, etc.

It has NOTHING to do with PHP or any other language.

Heh, there'll be no dreamweaver for me.

I've been planning to learn some php for a while though. I guess now's as good a time as any :^)

Forgive me if it's a stupid question, but what's SSI?

Or if you have SSI enabled, use SSI includes...PHP is always your best bet if available though.

Or *shudders at the thought* use Dreamweaver templates..... Don't hurt me!!
