I know Sega might only produce the games for the next 5 years but they could get so much more out of it if they decided to stay in the gaming business. The possibility of it that sega could stay a software company or just fizzle out into non-existence or something.
If they are making games for the next few years I will still be happy and hopefully they will go out with a bang and give us some extreme games to play on in the near future. But hopefully they will carry on for years making games and such. I think if they do plan to make games for as long as possible then they should focus on one company to work with mostly and concentrate on like rare and Nintendo.
It is most likely that sega will mainly work with Microsoft’s Xbox as a lot of Dreamcast owners are deciding to get one at the moment. Bill gates is now trying to get back onto the Japanese side but I don’t think it is working so who knows if sega will favour them or not, at the moment we cant tell anything.

Exactly my veiws. I have just had the chance to play the first non sega console game made by sega. It was of course Crazy Taxi and all Ps2 gamers should thank sega and go buy the game now.

Huh! I had not heard about this. I think they should become a permanent fixture in the software market as their games are influentialy brilliant.

I wouldn't be happy with this as I think every console should be able to get a slice of Segas gaming genius.

Took the words from my mouth . As sega fans have no console at the mo it is more thasn likely they will go for the mst advanced of the new consoles. Of course as you say it all depends on if Gatesy can get the Japanese on his side.

Yes we did.
Sega have recently stated that they see Nintendo as their nearest console equivelent, standing for everything that Sega do, so it's more likely that they will side with their former 'rivals', although the Sega/Nintendo rivalry has been far more amiable than either companies competition with Sony.
