I got my Dad a plant and a card. I rock.
Birthdays don't thank them for being good fathers, they celebrate the anniversary of birth.
Everyone has a birthday, fathers get a fathers day for being a good father (you don't HAVE to get them something if they're a sucky dad).

I got my Dad a present on friday and he drove me up to Hull on saturday and i had planned to give it to him then, but i forgot and now he's back in essex and his present is in Hull with me :( at least i forgot his card when i came back up here so he has that.
